Who is this lesson for?

This lesson is suitable for pupils in Key Stage 4.

What is included in the lesson?

The teaching resources include a lesson plan, a presentation, a video, worksheets, and suggested activities. The topic of bleeding and shock is explored in greater depth than in Key Stage 2 and 3.

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

  1. ensure the safety of themselves and others

  2. provide first aid and reassure a casualty who has an injury and is bleeding

  3. seek medical help if required.
