George & Mary Parkinson 2000_2000

We're on a mission to teach young people across the country how to save lives. And that starts with our Badger programme, for 5 to 10-year-olds.

It's a chance for them to learn important first aid skills in a fun, friendly, and safe environment.

We want to help our Badgers to develop their

  • self-esteem and confidence
  • first aid knowledge
  • life skills

They'll get to learn about lots of different topics like first aid, communication skills, and healthy living.

What Badgers get up to

Badgers attend sessions once a week, and work towards awards.

For each subject they complete, they get a certificate and a badge to wear on their uniform. For every three subjects they complete, they get an award:

  • three subjects: Bronze Award
  • six subjects: Silver Award
  • nine subjects: Super Badger Award
