The Big First Aid Lesson is a child-friendly lesson-long show aimed at primary and early secondary school students. It includes practical elements, animations, and interactive activities.
During the lesson, students:
- learn about common real-life first aid situations.
- observe demonstrations of relevant first aid techniques.
- learn important safety tips.
The Big First Aid Lesson 2017 was a great success, teaching thousands of students first aid in schools across the country. Thank you to everyone who took part!
The theme in 2017 was Bonfire Night and learning how to deal with fireworks-related injuries.
It was hosted by school children and television star Reece Buttery. Reece is well-known for his roles in the BBC Christmas adaptation of David Walliams' Gangsta Granny, CBBC's The Dumping Ground, and The Secret Life of Boys. He is also a St John Ambulance Cadet.
By making first aid accessible, fun, and easy to learn - students can gain the confidence to do the right thing when it counts.
